The counselor at Halstead High is committed to helping students achieve excellence at the secondary education level and beyond. It is understood that our students are facing more challenges than ever before, while choosing between a multitude of opportunities for their future.
The goal is to assist students in discovering and evaluating their skills/abilities, and planning for their futures, while also available to provide on site counseling. We will collaborate with teachers, parents, students, and community members to ensure success for all students.
Parents/Families: All students have access to the school counselor in the school and can absolutely come to me for whatever reason. If it seems a child may benefit from scheduled visits, we work with the parents throughout the process and seek parent/family permission beforehand. The positive impact of home and school partnerships is evident with open lines of communication, so feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments. When schools and families work together, children have a far better chance of being not only successful in school, but in life as well. The entire staff here at the Halstead/Bentley School District look forward to partnering with the families of students to ensure your child’s success throughout the school year.
