Halstead-Bentley USD 440 is a school district committed to continuous improvement and student success. With a staff of 125 employees including 65 certified teachers and administrators, the district's purpose is to maintain quality educational programs for its students.

USD 440 schools are accredited through the State of Kansas Quality Performance Accreditation process and participate in ongoing school improvement.  The schools have performed at high levels on State Assessments and have never failed to achieve Adequately Yearly Progress that is part of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Out-of-district students may apply to attend USD 440 schools; however transportation to the district boundary is the parent's responsibility.
